Cory Cat substrate

Any recommendations on good sand for Cory cats? I used Seachem flourite but my poor Cory hurt his barbels on it. I would prefer a dark colored sand as it looks better with my tank, but if needed a lighter one would be fine.

seachem sells a dark flourite sand, at least where i live, t is quite expensive tho

Black diamond blasting sand is about 10 dollars for 50 pounds
If that doesn't work you may be able to get the darker play sand.

The Estes brand of aquarium substrates also has a black sand, as well as a reddish "all natural" sand. They are available on Amazon and most likely can be ordered through your legs as well (they are a huge brand but don't sell most of their stuff under the Estes name).
