AKA walking catfish, they do get really big and dont stay as active as you've seen here with the youngsters. Very capeable of eating lots of tank mates. Personally one to stay away from and look for an alternative, some of the banjo cats have similarities especially the eel tailed ones.

So like, they will eat each other and you end up with just one representing thirty.

I'm not sure where it stands on canibalism but they are hugely evolved predators - they are called walking catfish because they literally travel across land between water ways in search of more food. They have become invasive in parts of the US and there is footage of them litterally crawling along drainage areas.
