hi.

i'm going to be getting the fluval 88g pressurized co2 system. The cartridges are quite expensive, so i was wondering if i could use any 88g co2 canister in it? if not does anyone know a cheap place to buy them.

i've never used a fluval one, but the jbl system i used to have had a different thread type to standard cylinders and i think the fluval system is the same

you could probably get a thread convertor online if you had a bit of a google

I was gonna buy one of those.But then a member told me that if i was gonna have a lot of light and alot of plants in the long run it would be cheaper to get a 2kg pressurized kit. The recharge cylinders go out quite fast and end up being expensive. I gave up on the fluval system,and got the kit.But that one is cheap if you could get to use non-fluval cylinders.The main problem is that cheaper alternatives than that one are not efficient enough in bigger tanks and bigger ones than that are just so expensive.

one more question. Does anyone know how the fluval 20g co2 diffuser works. I just can't understand how it works.
