Co2 rising ph?

i have just (yesterday) begun c02 injection to my larger tnak afater a black out period, i understood that the co2 would lowere the ph of the tank yet it seems to have goen up to about 7.2, form its ususall 6.8, is this normal??

very odd... it should lower it - not raise it...

they only thing i can think of it that the CO2 bubbles are causing more surface agitation and actually removing more co2 that they are adding - Very unlikely though...
 
:blink: not to my knowledge - sorry can't help you on that one.
 
ah. - its the only way to know what the CO2 content of the water is...

It might be worth getting on eso you can see what is happening for definite :)
