Yeah increased airation,finished esha2000 runnin carbon +wc's then gona go in with another dose of esha2000,fish look fine with only the odd one having a small scratch-a big inprovement from b4 meds,

Soon as i wc and carbon the meds out they seem to be scatchin and flickin again, i ran meds for about month and half,dont know what to do know,no fish has gold dustin,no whitespots,no clamped fins,no heavy gill movement,they are eatin fine although i never c clowns poo never,stats are perfect have been througout treatments, now im just scratchin head,might take all clowns back to lfs,any suggestion.

In 2 years I have seen my 8 Clown pass waste (hanging out) a dozen times or so I do not know if its a night thing for them.

Clowns and few tigers + a few cardinals,,have always used tetra aquasafe,would the plant substrate cause any bother to them,its tetra complete plant base under 3inch of pea gravel??

No they flicked b4 i put them in the tank with the substrate,what about plant feed,i use king brittish plant fert,dont know if contains copper?which plants need dont they,

I would post in tropical discussion to see if plant fert can irratate fish and make them flick and rub.
Never used plants ferts so can't go on appearance.

Have posted about fert and plant sub,if my clowns were that bad wouldnt they hide all the time!,they are very avtive - swim in powerheads alot.they eat lots too.

Fish can hide when there not well.
Just make sure there not darting, or erratic swimming.

Enlarged anus, red inflamed anus.
Spitting food out.
What does it look like when the fish go to the toilet.
Do the fish swim on there sides.
Is the tummy sunken in.
Lost any fish to bent spines.
Seen any worm prutruding from the anus.

How many fish and which type.10 clown loach,2 molly,8 cardinal tetra,took barbs back 8 of them fully grown.

Bent spine can be due to old age, fish tb, internal parasites, vitamin deficiency, injury, birth defect.

Have you ever wormed your fish for internal parasites.
What does it look like when the rest of the fish go to the toilet.
