Hi all:

My water has recently gone cloudy. I had siphoned out the pleco crap, did a water change, added the aquarium salts as I usually do, and for the first time it's going cloudy.
The pH is 7, and the temp. is at 75 roughly... what could cause it?
There's no food left sitting for any length of time either.

Suggestions?
Thanks!

Is it a greyish white cloud?

If so it could be a bacterial bloom which should dissipate in a couple of days.

Also, if you were a bit aggressive in yor syphoning you will stir up some of the muck and stuff from the gravel. Once it settles then the water should clear.

Actually, I did a carbon change about a day or so prior...

As for the colour, yes, it's a greyish colour, and the whole tank looks "murky".. but the pleco's been leaving a lot of mess so perhaps it's that? I'm going to do another siphoning / water change tomorrow and see how it goes.
