Hi all

I've already got a Tetratec Ex600 external filter and so am thinking of getting a Clear Seal 20 gal tank rather than a tank kit.

Question is - how good are the various hoods you can get to fit these tanks? I'm all for choosing my own lighting etc but I'm wanting to avoid problems like the lighting overheating the tank in the summer so any experiences are much appreciated.

For example Consort Hood

I've taken a look at the consort hood in the shop and it isn't suitable because it does not provide an opening that allows a pipe to go up and over the edge of the tank which is required for the filter. Can anyone recommend a hood with the right opening?

There are a selection over at

But the pictures simply aren't good enough to tell what the opening at the back is like

This one looks like it might be better - hard to judge, anyone got one?
