Hello, I am reasonably new to the hobby and have a reasonably small around 30-40 litre tank and have a Syphon tube for cleaning gravel however, I get half way through cleaning and the water gets really low in the tankand I have to fill another bucket of water, dechlorinate, put it back in and then clean the rest until it's all done and then refill the bucket, dechlorinate and then refill it.

I do pinch the hose to stop it all coming through at once but it still comes through too quickly.

Has anyone got any hacks that might help me with this please?? Would be really grateful

What type of symphony hose are you using? A small bulb type would be best. I use this in my 5 gallons. Is yours like this?

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Just kink the hose a bit while you are gravel cleaning the tank. And if you only manage to gravel clean half the tank before running low on water, just fill the tank and gravel clean the other section the following week when you do the water change.

Thankyou, I hadn't thought of doing it half every week. Problem solved
