I'm a teacher and I have a 10 gallon fish tank in my classroom with a betta. This weekend they will be bombing for fleas. I was reading through a few forums and people said that they made their tank air tight with garbage bags so I was going to use plastic wrap on the top then cover it again with a taped down garbage bag.
Now my question is, would I be able to leave this all taped up and airtight over the weekend or would the fish suffocate?? Unfortunately we aren't able to come in until Monday. There are 3 live plants in the tank, will that help?
I would put the fish in a smaller tank and take him home, except he just got here a week ago (before I found out about the flea bomb) and they will be doing this for the next 3 weekends so I'm worried that it would just end up stressing him out and killing him anyways.
Any ideas??
Thank you so much.
