I'm a huge fan of the synodontis petricola but it's a case of do they fit in with your stock etc. Beautiful looking active fish :)

Umm yea they're nice but the max temperature is 24 would that be a problem?

Would like a flying fox or RTBS, but any ideas why I cant keep them alive?
When was the last time you kept them? You would need to provide much more info for us to be able to help, we can't just guess lol :hey:

Last RTBS was Sunday last week, died in two days. The one before that was a month, died in a day and the one before that was probably two months ago. Flying fox was also two months ago after the RTBS died. All water params perfect. Grandad also keeps fish and has never been able to keep one alive.

any views on the synodontis petricola?

My experience only had them 4 days like but they are really active always swimming around and tbh out of all of the fish I have they seem the most active but I guess that will change from catfish to catfish and tank mates. The only point with them is they are quite expensive to some degree. I paid £10 quid a piece and they are absolutely tiny! The larger ones cost even more than that. When they are abit older I will have to make sure they are the petricola and not the lucapinis (I think that's how you say it) which are often called the dwarf petricola and are nnot the real one.

There is a pic of one of my synos in the ink in the sig it's near the bottom of the thread. Very hard to take pictures of they are constantly in motion!
