Hi guys and gals

In my 55gal i have three different types of catfish i have two types of cory cats peppered and julli i have a single male BN and i have recently moved two ottocincles in there as the betta they lived with died and i couldnt see the point of them swimming around in a small tank when i had space in my big tank lol. :hyper:

The question i have is all of these bottom dwellers are always shooting to the top for extra air but i cant see why i have a large airstone on constantly and my spray bar on my external filter moving the water enough for good flow and circulation i know cory cats have to get air as i heard somewhere there gills arent as efficient as other fish but i dont knw whether BN's and ottos were the same ?

My other fish tetras and guppies are all fine and swim at all levels with no problems at all and the water is all stable and fine.

If anyone ca help would be much appreciated :good:

hi
can you test the water, just to make sure everything is as it should be? when ammonia is present fish will breathe erratically,
Also what is the current temperature?

Corys shoot to the top to breathe...it's perfectly normal.
