Looking to add some colour to my 60l tank. Though I like the black phantom tetra, I was wondering if I could swap them for a more colourful, smaller shoaling fish.

So, could I have 8 neon tetra, or 12 ember tetra

Or suggest something else

I would go for 12 ember tetras,i just bought some of these and they're so lively and shoal together most of the time

Could I up my corys too? I'm getting a 700lph filter within the next few days

yes but dont exceed a total of 8 because otherwise ur pushing ur tank too far (and even 8 is quite a lot of cories for a 60L)

also be sure to clone ur bacteria to ur new filter, rather than just replacing the current one outright

3 Guppy
1 Dwarf Gourami
4 Apple Snail

and if I can't get rid of the black phantoms, could I have 8 of them instead of the ember tetras?

that sounds like a big stocking for a 60L tank to me..... even with the larger filter will there be any room for the fish to move........ i think the gourami will need more room also the corys. i have a few 60L tank for growing up my cory fry and 8 adult corys and a small group of embers would be my maximum. remember the adult size of the fish not what they are like when you buy them young from lfs

yeah 24 fish and 4 snails is way too much for a 60L.... im guessing the tank is about 2foot so 6 corys may be ok and the neons/cardinals should be fine but i wouldnt put anything else in there....
