Can I Put This In My Tank?

Just got this and it would look really nice in my tank. It's either painted or glazed.

not sure, but put it in a bucket of water for a week, and see what happens to it after the week. if it is soft, or the paint chipped etc. then i wouldn't put it in.. there also could be toxins leaking from it which will kill your fish.

I would say that's likely to be not safe to go in your tank.
 
Some of those old glazes can be quite toxic. If you can get hold of some live daphnia, you could test it with them, but otherwise I wouldn't risk it.
