Hi there guys

I have a 200 litre tropical tank that has been setup and matured for 2 years now. Currently we have 5 corys 7 neons 12 guppys 2 plecs 2 clown loaches (4 inch) and a talking spotted catfish. were wanting to get 4 young discus to finish the tank (stock wise) and to be the centre of attention :)
All i need to know is will these fish get on ok in the tank?

cheers

Alice and Ben

how big exactly is your tank in gallons? a fully grown Discus would require at least 6 gallons of water for itself, so if you have space I think you could have them, but I wouldn't get any discus smaller than 2.5" as younger discus would be more prone to disease... And make sure you are prepared to do a lot of water changes if you want your discus to thrive.... :D

200 litres is about 45UK gallons. I keep 4 discus in a 225litre cube, but they are by themselves. You'll need to be careful with your parameters because of the plecs. I am not sure, but your guppies may be a little too zippy for the laid back discus folk.
