Can I use my 2 gallon aquarium to breed trumpet snails?
I have a 20 long that I want to put snails into but I worry my assassin will eat them all before they can explode in population.

I want to use a 2 gallon aquarium to raise trumpet snails, I don't have a filter.
The tank would have a 10 gallon heater in it, with java moss and would have natural lighting.

Would this be safe for the snails to just be in the 2 gallon aquarium with java moss and a heater? I'll include 1 1/2 inch of white sand.

Don't really get your question, heater ok in smaller tank but why put snails you want to breed with an assassin?

The question is if the set up of having a 2 gallon snail breeder tank going would be okay with the set up of just natural sunlight a heater and java moss.
The assassin snail is in my 20 gallon long. Not the 2 gallon snail breeder tank I would be grabbing snails from every now and then to put in the 20 long.

We have a special section for Inverts question.....I'll move the topic there for you.

Alright just hope someone could give me an answer if its possible to keep them alive in a 2 gallon fish tank with just a heater and natural sunlight without any filter.

Yes, you can.

My daughter and I have loads of different snails in bowls and small tanks and they fine with just the odd water change :good:
