My new betta wont be with fry for much longer, so what can i put in with him to keep him company? Ideally i'd love some tetras but i think theyre nippy?? Poor guy is recovering from the platy attack, dont wanna subject him to that again!
Any advice appreciated :D

what size tank?

Maybe if the tank is big enough, some corys, least it gives him the majority of a tank to himself.

its a 65 ish litre - its 8cm wider than the 60l, so im adding a few extra litres ;)

i have 5 bronze corys in the other tank, but i think maybe theyre a bit big? :/

Can also depend on his personality.

I'd love to keep some corys with mine, but not while he rips up poor malayasian trumpet snails for looking at him funny =(

I'd go with corys, julii, pygmy or ottos

Thanks - just looked those up - not that keen on the pygmy ones, theyre a bit too like the bronze i have already. Ottos i dont like. But the julii i really like, and i also found Corydoras trilineatus - i reeeeeally like them!!

oooh you can pick n mix??? yay!!! :hyper:

yeah lol I'd keep it a min. 4 of each species but they will be fine, very playful. My juliis got on real well with my khulis, they all used to chase and play together, funny to watch.

Although, Juliis are more sensitive prone to water conditions. If anything is wrong with parameters, juliies will usually let you know first.

I have Panda corys in with Le Rouge and they are not bothered by him and vise versa. I also have an ansistrus in with Chilly.

You will have trouble finding any true Corydoras julii FC. You will often see Corydoras trilineatus being sold as julii though. A true julii is quite hard to find and can be very expensive while a trilineatus is bred in captivity and often very easily available.
