Buying Fish Online

I was thinking of buying some fish on-line and I was wondering if you get to choice if they are male or female.if so can anyone recommend a good website for malawi cichlids.

It really depends on the place where one gets the fish from and the species: some will guarantee the sex, some will not, some will try to pick the right one.

I'm sure places like "Mike's Rifts" are very accomodating in ordering, I believe several keepers in the Old World section have had great experiences with this store. Wildwoods and Wholesale Tropicals, who operate a courier site via "Tropical fish 2 your door" scheme, do allow you to choose male and female where possible.

just make sure you chose a place that gives a DOA policy. One place gave me an option in include an extra fee or not for the DOA.... glad i did, as 50 cardinals arrived at my door dead the first time, then the box got lost the second time!! Poor fish, but my pocket was fine and i just got from a local shop!
