button polyps

ok so i went to one of the lfs today and bought a button polyp now i asked the women in the store and she said that it just feeds of food in the water and i dont have to feed it anything special. is this correct? also where in the tank should i place it as i currently have it on the bottom of the tank.

Button polyps are photosynthetic but benefit from feeding on plankton. Warning. they can grow like weeds. SH

ok thanks very much! if they do start to grow like weeds then how can i stop them? just by taking them out?

Pruning or 'fragging' them. You could sell the frags. SH
