How do I get it?

I like the look of the browny/green aquarium water, makes it look more 'real', if you understand.

and from what I under stand neon tetras like it better?
not sure about my other fish in my sig tho!

I think you mean from tannins? They naturally leach out of unsoaked bogwood and leaves. It will soften your water a little and is removed by waterchanges and carbon.

Go and get yourself some Mopani roots from the LFS and you will see tannins withing a day!!!

Alternatively you can add a peat bag to your filter or use black water additive.

I've added some bogwood to my aquarium and my water is very brown at the moment, so yeah, that'll do it. Unfortunately I did not anticipate to have brown water and soaked the wood foe a few days prior to adding it to the tank... and still it changed my water....I personally hope it'll clear up soon
