Hi there, I currently have around 5 or 6 potted plants in my 38ukgal tank, with 70w lighting by 2 35w bulbs (one sun-glo, one aqua-glo for plants). I have only a few fish in there as I am cycling (don't ask about fishless cycling it really is out of the question). The plants are all turning brown and looking generally unhealthy, what can I do?

have u cheeked the nitrate and phosphate levels yet ? and whats your iron level at ?
Phosphates and Irons I have no idea!
But I have been dosing the tank with this "Bio-something" stuff by Nutrafin.

Nitrates are less than 10.

Helium_junkie,

I havent come across that one. Just make sure it provides essential nutrients reqd.for plants (not just CO2). I use a product called leaf zone from API and root tabs from same company.
