Breeding Trap Questions

I have a marina breeding trap but do not know how they work.

How does it stay up in the water. I was after some guidance/

I'm not familiar with these but I've seen ones that float, ones that come with suction caps that stick to the glass and others that have two metal brackets at the top that you bend over your glass. There may be other styles but I'm not aware of these.

Would you not try to set up a smaller tank for your fry? Can pick up a small tank and equiptment for cheap and its better I think. Can also work as a quarantine tank when the fry are older.

I didn't like my trap floating around banging about so bought a couple of sucker pads on ebay, worked perfect

Some come with suckers, but I believe the marina didn't. I can place mine in the corner and it doesn't move. It creates a suction of its own. Lol.

In the end I went out and brought a new aqua one trap and luckily got it back just in time as my guppies have started breeding.
