Wow, I'm really happy I came across this thread! I didn't know anything about bracing and taking into the account the thickness of the glass!

Well I took back the tank and I am so relieved!!!

I bought another one with 6mm glass (a better brand) Also they didn't have any stands in that fit this tank so I asked him what about the display stand? and he said that it was messed up that the doors were upside down and I said ok..well maybe you can give me a discount then and he's like sure let me go call my boss..so he goes and calls his boss and comes back and says we can have it for $70 dollars!!! Regular price was $200!!! I could barely speak and just wanted to get out of there asap lol

I got home and my boyfriend had a look at the doors on it and all that was wrong with them was they they needed to be switched around..and that was all!!! Nothing is wrong with the stand at all!! I couldn't believe my luck!! Also we got about $30 dollars off the tank because my boyfriend pointed out to the guy that they had a similar tank there that was a lot less

All in all we had to pay nothing extra for the better tank and stand!! How cool is that??

I felt really bad though for a couple who just bought the same brand tank we took back. They saw us with the shopping cart with the tank in it and were asking us why we were bringing it back etc etc. Then they looked at eachother and said Oh no what have we got ourselves into. I just told them hey I wouldn't worry because it could of just been our tank that was faulty. Also if they have any problems they can return it too

It was hard work but well worth it
