Boot Fairs rule!!!

Hey everyone,

Yesterday i eventually found the will power to get up early and go to the boot fair in the next town.
I got there not really having the expectation that i'd find anything aquarium related, so i was well chuffed when i saw a tank tucked away in a horse box, the seller dude explained that it had been sitting in his barn for a yr collecting dust, well collecting was an understatement, i negotiated 5 pounds for it which i couldnt believe as it came complete, with heater, hood, lights, gravel, ornaments and a fluval 3 filter. After about few hours of hard cleaning it now looks brand new and is now cycling.

Anyway i had to tell everyone as im still buzzin from it.

Its, 24"x15"x12" not massive i know, but will make a gd home for my ever breeding guppies!

Thanks for the advice. The dude now has a 70 gallon cichlid tank, and he used to have a 20 gallon. I'm hoping he's selling the 20 gallon.

Yes, exactly like a yard sale except there are many 'stalls'...loads of people sell from their car boots (trunks) at an organised event...could be in a field or large building like a church or school hall

Well, I went to see the family yesterday morning, but they'd already sold the 20 gal to a close friend. But...

He gave me a 7 gal for free! He said he had no use for it. It's a good quality glass tank with a little pine stand-thingy, and no lid... but after a good makeover it'll look alright. It's not the best tank, but it was free!
