Bolivian Ram

Hi folks,

I am away to buy some fish to stock my tank. I am going to put in my 50 cardinal tetras, but i am wondering if its a good idea to also put in my bolivian rams at the same time? Or do they need time to adjust or anything?

Reason being i am getting them mail order, so if i get the rams at the same time, it will save me money! Do i need to add them as pairs or anything?

Rams are better kept in pairs minimum for what i've heard and experienced. I had a pair and they were forever together. One died and the remaining one is misserable as hell now

if youve cycled your tank via the fishless method then it should be ready for the tetras and rams.. id make sure you have a even number of rams they tend to pair off

Got a pair in my newly cycled tank and they have coloured up beautifully compared to shop tank.
Too early to tell if male or female. They do hang out together most of the time.
