has anyone tried keping bluegill or largemouth bass or anything like that in a tank and if so what was your experience with it thanks

No i havent , but u would need a very big tank wouldnt u!?! -_-

I have. I use to keep a few North American native fish. Bluegills, perch and bass.

Bluegills were mean as all get out. As mean as most cichlids I've had.

Are you planning on keeping one?

i was thinking about maybe two bluegill in a 55 gal. but if there worse than cichlids then i don't think my plants could handle them what do you think thanks

They aren't as bad as cichlids are with plants. I never had any live plants with them tho and they left them alone but my cichlids would even tear up plastic plants.

Not sure if they'll nibble on them tho.

2 bluegill in a 55g is too much, imo.

for bass at least you are going to need bigger than a 55 gallon tank for sure...these are decent sized fish and you want them to have room to live or its just not going to be pleasureable for you or the fish imo ;)
