I bought four fish described as Blockheads from a large shop in Leyland yesterday. I was passing and never likely to go past there again and bought them because I've always wanted them and never seen them. Now I've checked them against my book and the blockhead in my book is a blue coolour with a large head lump. Mine are about 2 inches long a pale brown colour with blue eyes and about 3 bars that sometimes show on theire flanks. They are bottom dwellers and resemble a goby in a way. what other verieties of block head are there and do they transform into the blue colour
