Is this suitable for aqua scaping??
I'm planning my first aqua scape, it's a 8 litre tank (very small) so what sort of plants would you suggest, i was thinking bog wood with moss and carpet plants..?
Thanks Imogen.

I didn't think Pets at Home sell any black sand... they sell black gravel, and brown sand (which I use and I like it) but you can get cheaper elsewhere.

Oh right! Silly me, it was probably brown sand i was thinking of! Sorry about that :)
Is there any other substrate you prefer?? Cheers!

If you wanted black sand and it's only for an 8 litre tank, have a look on AquaEssentials... I think they do very small bags of black sand for about £4 or so, should be plenty for you.

ye black sand is lovely have a shop around going to P@H or a local LFS will usually be more expensive especially for smaller bags have look at posting as well they can be heavy got any pictures of the tank so far? what fish if any you going to put in it :) and for sand you can get a particular black sand substrate thats great for plants more expensive but may be worth it in the long run :)
