Black/brown Algae Invading My Tank !

This black busshy algae like fluff is starting to grow on all of my wood my light is on for 9 hours a day 2.2WPG and i have presurized co2 with drop checker which is all fine.

Any suggestions?

Is the tank in direct sunlight, and how long do you have your tank lights on each day?

Usually the cause of this kind of algae is low level of Co2, or fluctuating Co2 levels.

Also, another cause of this algae is the lack of water circulation.

So, I would increase water circulation, so that way it will get rid of any "pockets" of ammonia.

thanks allot gents, ive added 300 lph pump to increase circulation as stated above light is on for 9 hours per day ( so if circulation will help will they just die off?) or do i still have to manually remove them as they are the hardest algae that ive seen when tried to take them off with nails (not counting green spot aglae)

I have 4x 39W T5HO and 72 US gal tank which is 2.1WPG ill lower the co2 as ly drop checker shows very light green - not yello so ill just aim for green. No the tank isnt in direct sun/day light

I hope those things die off!!!!!

They should die of if the ammonia source is taken away, as ammonia is a main thing that algae needs to grow.

The increase in circulation should take care of the ammonia problem.

Thumbs up for quick responce!!! Really appriciate your help and time!

Also dont know if this can be a cause but i also have DIY blue LED lights after light goes off for about 3-4 hours and they are very very weak so its just gives realistic moonlight effect. The reason im saying this is that ive heard that algae like blue light will this LED light might be responsible?
