Starting to really do my head in now. It's even on my plants now. Is there anything I can buy to get rid of it?

Hiya. Just bog standard really. Quite a few plants, lights on 8 hours a day (though I did reduce this to 6 for ages but with no improvement) and I dose TPN+ and Easy Carbo once a week. Lights work out at about 1w per gallon.

This all started when I briefly had silk plants about 6 months ago. The silk plants have gone but the algae hasn't

Don't normally have to worry about BBa in tanks using easycarbo.What's the flow like? any algae on plants directly in it? how often/much for water changes?Fluctuating co2 will cause probs

I think the flow is ok. It's a Fluval U2 filter in a 60L tank and I have it set on the middle spray bar. Do you think if I dosed Easy Carbo every day it would help?

standard advice seems to be: manual removal of as much algae as you can, water changes to remove algae spores.However the tricky bit (and the one i haven't quite worked thro myself yet

),
is fluctuating co2 (via waterchanges) can also cause algae probs.Though in theory, daily addition of easycarbo should counter act this.
i'm not an expert on this, but offer it as an opinion.
A pic of said algae would def help.

K, this is the best one I could get of one of my coconut huts (and a nosey neon). Plant pics just couldn't get the detail.
