Bitten By The Betta Bug! New Pink Betta.

your betta looks exactly like the one me and my wife have. the tail reminded her of a roman soldier's helmet (the plume) and thought a romanesque name would be fitting, so she named it napoleon...unfortunately, the name to me reminds me of the famous Napoleon and i think he was french or something...oh well...good enough we said! lol

He was not what I consider a rescue, the shop only had a few bettas but they were in good sized individual heated/filtered tanks, (Mr T is very tall so I was too short to spot them!!) and all look very healthy and happy. So I don't think I am perpetuating the pet shop ignorance problem and have a healthy happy fishy. I think we have found the only fish seller we will be dealing with from now on. Very happy with the new arrival! Still need help with names though

If I had an LFS that housed their bettas individually in heated tanks - you'd bet they'd get my business too! You're lucky you found such a place! And you got a beautiful betta out of them! Congrats!!

As for names... that's always hard for me... but since he looks like a Cambodian betta - how 'bout Cambie?! I know someone who named their betta that.

It is a small, in the countryside not far from where I live but took me aaaages to find but well worth it Super friendly owner who is more than happy to bend over backwards to get you the fish you would like if he does not have one, real gold dust kinda shop out in the sticks. Cambie sounds sweet

Even the scenery the LFS is set it sounds lovely... I'd LOVE to find a shop like that!! Lucky you!!

Only problem is I now keep wondering about how many bettas I could fit in my house!! Gonna end up like cracker if I am not careful Mr TubbyLaLa says only boys in the house!!!!!!

We both use this ID on the forum (but my other half Mr TubbyLaLa likes playing with and looking at our fish while I do most of the water checking/changing and research), So I tend to use the Mr or Mrs TubbyLaLa so it is a bit clearer who is posting.....Guess it is just as confusing TubbyLaLa is actualy the name of our pearl bubble fish!!!He's in our signature pic.
