Betta + Neon

I'll tell you what FinalFantay, I will take all of the pounds of gold you wish to buy me at £10 each and will gladly pay any shipping and insurance to get it to me. You can keep the other 9 for yourself. These days £1 is worth about $1.60 US and an single troy ounce of gold is selling for close to $1100 US. The 12 troy ounces that it would take to make a pound would be about $13200 US. Even if converted to the UK pound, that is a lot more than the £10 that I offered to pay. The £ is called a pound sterling for a reason. Sterling is a term related to silver, not gold and as little as a century or two ago, it may have still been possible to buy a pound of it for £1. Today the silver itself sells for around £10 per troy ounce though. A Euro is a unit invented as a universal european currency a while back and is traded with an almost equal value to the UK pound. The last time I checked, a Euro was worth about 90p. When they were first issued, a Euro was worth almost the same amount as the US dollar but it has moved relative to the dollar quite a bit since then as the US dollar has been allowed by several administrations to lose its value.

When it comes to fish prices, forget the exchange rates. If I pay $10 for a fish, a person in the UK will pay about £10 for that same fish. Currency exchange rates do not ever reflect the reality of prices unless you are buying something imported to one country directly from the other. In that case, the poor wholesaler will need to deal with that exchange rate and will adjust prices accordingly.

if the neons arent bored i find theyre ok.

i have had 6 neons with a betta, and currently have around 15 neons with a betta :good:

You mean my old business studies teacher lied to me all those years ago??? :-( :-(

Also i wish i had a pound of gold!

A troy pound of gold would be enough to buy a new small car in the US. I doubt the pound sterling ever was worth that much.
