On a topic the other day about a humane way of killing a fish is to cut of the head really quickly, well iv just been over my freinds house who has a red belly piranha tank, and he came home from uni to find one his piranhas savaged, we netted out all the part of the fish and my mate decided as he held the head in tissue to count the teeth only the find it was still alive and tried to munch his fingers off!?

The best way, if you're going down the beheading route, is to cut the head off then pierce the brain with the knife. The brain takes a little while to die on its own. Or just pierce or crush the brain rather than beheading.

best method i have found, although kind of grusome involves a plastic baggy, a papertowel, and a 16oz hammer...although i suppose that is a little off topic
