Beatiful Fish Wasting Away

Hi there i have kept the godfish seperate since my last post do you think it would be wise to re introduce him now ?

Yes if the fish is well now.

well no scales have replaced those lost but hes stable and seems healthy

Can take a while.
Good luck.

so should i leave him in a seperate tank untill new scales have formed ?

If water quality is good in the other tank he will be fine in there.

Thanks.
Did you get another filter.

hi there i now have another fluval 4 which seems to have created a very strong current but the goldfish is still losing scales they appear completly healthy underneath with a pink tinge

ive included some pics to give you a better idea.

Apart form the scale loss the fish appears perfectly healthy eating and swimming wise

its so strange!!!

I would treat it as bacterial if there is no signs of the goldifish flickiing against things in the tank.

how would you reccomend its treated? Its bizarre as only effects this one fish and does not effect him when he is the other tank

could it be that hes being burned by the filter or getting nicked by sharp rocks ??

I've never seen anything like it before!

hi there here is the info requested

Temperature? the temp is around 20 - 21*C

the tank is one meter 15 long 30cm back and 45 cm tall
Sorry but that tank is way to small for goldfish and plecos, wayyy to small. To me that just looks as is the fish has been bitten or hurt itself on something.Do they ever get spooked?Yes it could of hurt it'self on sharp rocks I should think but it seem strange so many scales would come of.Melafix might be a good treatment for them.I'll let wilder take it away now :p

Anti internal bacteria med by interpet.

hi there the tank is one metere 15 cm long 45 cm back and 50 cm tall i dont know wether that makes any difference. The tank seems huge for the fish compared to most of the aquariums i have seen them in. I'm trying my best and think i'm providing a home for them as best as i can. They seem happy and the fish (minus the mysterious scale loss) seem healthy.

Will try and get my hands on this bacterial med

The frustration is immense ive just noticed that the other goldfish has ragged fins this keeps on happeneing and then a few days later it clears up. They did better in the tank that was half the size and had no filter. I will go to the pet store tomorrow to look for this bacterial med but god FRUSTRATION

I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING WRONG :(
