Base Rock

Forgive my ignorance I am about to purchase some live rock (20kgs) I think I will have enough to do the main aquscape, if not, and I purchase some ordinary base rock, will zoos and mushrooms live on the base rock or will they only utilise living rock.
Again please forgive my ignorance as a newbie to the nano game.

I believe they would. If not, place the ocean rock in the tank anyways. It will turn into live rock in a few months. :nod:

Corals will grow on plastic if its provided for them :lol:

. I've seen egg-crate literally covered in pavona and encrusting montipora at my LFS from frags long since removed. Heck, Xenia and mushrooms will grow on your glass!
