Ballooning Zebra Danio

Our Zebra Danio (likely female) has always been rather rotund, but today, she's ballooning before our eyes! She's so bloated, she's bobbing around as opposed to swimming. Her spine is quite crooked, and her skin is bleeding from cracks & splits as a result of the enormous expansion of her body. We're not sure what is wrong or if we are going to be able to save her. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Dunno. Try treating for dropsy and other internal parasites.

It sounds like the disease Dropsy , but without a picture it's hard to be sure.
I really hope it recovers
