I spotted a baby snail on the glass a few minutes ago. I have three netrite snails kept in freshwater.

I did put in a few plants today also could there be a possibility that it came from the plants?

Plants were purchased from pets at home.

most likely it came from the plants. as long as they aren't dark coned shells i wouldn't worry about it. the dark corned shell snail (don't know the proper name) are the ones that will eat healthy plants. (which sucks to have)
if they are dark flat shells (no cone shape, but curling of course) then they are fine, just eat dead parts of plants and left over food. (i have them, lol clean up crew)
if it is a white cone shape, they'll bury under the gravel, don't worry about them they are great to have.

It's a very small white coned snail :) cheers for the info!

Can you get a picture? It did likely come in on the plants.
Search Malaysian Trumpet Snails and see if that might be what you've found.

+1 on MTS from your description.

Very likely it hitchhiked into your tank via a plant.

Thats how i got my common snails.

I got some dark colored baby MTS free from my LFS who consider them a plague and would have killed them :D they burrowed into the sand and were gone as soon as I put them in.
Congrats on your baby! I love inverts, and especially baby snails!
