Hi All,

Was just doing my evening feed and discovered this little fella climbing up the glass.

I've not had snails in the tank before, cannot see any more of these after close examination and last added some plants around 3-4 weeks ago (Assume it came part of them)

Does anyone know what type of snail this is, and if I am likely to see more of them? I am right that it may be a bladder snail?

Note in case the picture is misleading on size. Its about 0.4/0.5mm big. That is a sandy substrate.

Snails or their eggs commonly arrive with plants. And yes, there will be more of them. They are an important past of a tank ecosystem and they are only a problem if their numbers get out of control. The easiest way to stop a population explosion is by not overfeeding the fish. Uneaten fish food feeds snails.

For future reference, in vitro/tissue culture plants do not have snails or eggs.
