my platy have babies last night and only 3 were there this morning did they get eaten already. I move them to the other tank.

Not knowing a single other thing about your tank and setup, I'd say it's likely they were eaten, or they're hiding really well.

We have lots of hiding spots and about 5 other fish in tank.so i guess i just didn't know if they could really eat that many in just a few hrs

Out of curiosity, is it OK for their health to eat their fry? Is it normal?

Yeah, they've probably been eaten!

The good thing is though, platies breed a lot so there's a very high chance that you will end up with some more without having to do anything. You should get yourself a breeding net to put the female platy in when she's about to drop, then remove her and keep the fry in for a while, feeding them something like brine shrimp or microworms :)

Or just get some bushy plants and let nature take its course. Unless you want to be overrun with fry.

Just out of interest, how many fry were you expecting? It's a while since I kept them but numbers varied from 10 to maybe 20 and I've heard numbers up to 35.

So 35 tiny mouthfuls for one adult fish would be gobbled up fairly quickly and I presume you have more than one fish in your tank.

Darwin's theory of evolution. Survival of the fittest! :)
