hi all i have a small 20L tank with afew fish n snails in it also a java fern on a small log. since ive bought the fern it seems to enjoy my tank as it have grown rapidly.
whats the best way to keep it in check? ive thought about buying some lead weights to pin it down (as its reaching steadly towards my filter) or is it best to just go at it with sum sissors.

IM NO GARDENER HELP!!!!

a nice problem to have. scissors isnt a bad idea, but generally cutting leaves will make it grow more, from my experience at least. just like tending your garden, pruning results in better, bushier growth, which is probably not what you're after. you could take it off the wood and plant it in the substrate possibly. you have sand or gravel ?

cut the rhizome into halfs or quarters keep a couple of leaves & roots with each section, keep a section for yourself and put the others up for sale on the forum
