Just received delivery of an ATC 800, but am now regretting not paying the extra to have it sent fully wired up and ready to go.

basically ive got the atc800 unit and a black mounting box. any one know how it all goes together?
also it doesn't seem to come with a power lead. presumably i can just get some power cable from a DIY shop and then use the plug off of the heater when i remove it to wire it to the atc800 unit?

as you can tell electrics is not my strong point so any help would be much obliged!

cheers scott but a quick scan through that lokked liek it was just about the chiller.
i've got a problem with the actual atc unit which is the elctronics which measures the water temperature and switches heaters/chillers on/off automatically.

cheers trod, they've used a box from maplins which is different to what i've been sent, but essentially i think i need some 2 pair cable, a plug, and some rubber tails to neaten things up.
Trip to the DIY store me thinks!

still waiting on my reactor so a bit hesitant to wire this thing up until i know where its gonna fit in the cabinet. Rapidly running out of room.

also seen this morning that the clear tide reactors have a habit of leaking which i'm not keen about!
might have to find a site within the sump for it to sit now (last chamber with the return maybe)!

can you get some pics up my dad should be able to help with the chiller hes the one to ask lol

regards scott

cheers for the offer scott.

its all wired up now. Got a 15cm fan from B&Q to act as a 'chiller'.
will put some pics up in my journal tomorrow.
