Are My Angels Fighting Or Mating?

I have two large marbled angels in my 3ft tank and they're fine with the other fish. Someone gave me them when still small and they're very big now, probably fully grown. I'm not interested in breeding but every so often they go for each other, on the lips as if kissing. No damage is done and never seen any split fins. Are they fighting or wanting to mate? It's not all the time, maybe couple of times a day.

Hi. I've no idea what sex they are. How do I tell?

hi, i don't think it's possible to sex them unless they are breeding, but other male fish lock jaws when they are fighting/testing each others strength, such as kissing gouramis.
