I wanna know if I can add a pair of Kribensis Cichlids to my 75 gallon, it has 3 small tire track eels, 1 small fire eel, a 12" BGK a ornate bichir, endchelichi bichir, a sengal bichir, and some type of small datnoid... not sure what though. Im upgrading most of these fish to a 125-300 gallon in about 7 months,, and if they arent ok now would they be okay later?

I wouldnt add anything more to that tank until all the fish have been relocated to your 300g.

Ok thanks i wont add them until then, but do you think that they could be compatible with knifes, bichirs and eels when the tank is upgraded? I know they like to lay eggs and protect them with all their might, and same with their hiding spots as well. In the larger tank there will be more bichirs and some catfish.

Kribs are basically peaceful fish until they are breeding, when they turn very defensive - but it is just that, defensiveness, not overt agression. I fear that they would not be able to cope with life with the other species you mention.

(Oh, and btw, Kribs are from Africa, which is old world, so I moved the thread)

Ok sorry didnt know thanks, so what if I gave them their own little place, would be okay with them? I would think the problem would be with my eels right?

All your existing fish are opportunistic predators, in time some of them will be capable of eating a Kribensis adult, even as youngsters I'd expect these predators to kill every Krib youngster born in the tank.

I would of thought them a bit too large and aggressive for kribs :)
