American Killifish Association.
British Killifish Association.
Scandinavian Killifish Association.
Tropical Fish clubs and Associations play a very important roll within the hobby. It is within these clubs that a great deal of knowledge can be gleened. The advantages of being a member are tenfold. I wont babble on but if you are serious about keeping tropical, marine, goldfish or Koi try it for yourself, I think that you will be presently surprised at what you will find.

I agree, with very few of the things you say, but some clubs aren't like that, one of the clubs I used to belong to was used by the president as a plac where he sold his fish and other things, and to slag of the local shops because they didn't buy his fish. And with the internet being so easy the info you need is right at your fingertips. The club scene is dying out because of websites like this on, but I think that it is a good thing, and you can find like minded people through sites like this one, and find fish you are looking for, sell things you don't want.
So there is really no need for clubs in my opinion any more, and its their own fault as they haven't adapted to survive. I have sat through enough club meetings with people moaning about the lack of members to know what I'm talking about and quite frankly I have wasted too much time on them to lament their going under.
