Api Test Kit In Pond

I have an API freshwater master test kit, I am popping round my nans this afternoon to drop off 2 goldfish, her pond has newts and goldfish and I was wondering if the tests i have would have any relevence to a coldwater outside pond?

I know API also manufactures a Pond Test Kit, so I am assuming no... I'm sure your goldies will love the pond though!
