Api High Range Ph Coming Out Red?

My african cichlid tank when i test the ph the color is red. what is wrong?

what test kit is it
and would you say browny red 8.2

api master test kit, with regular ph high ph, gh, kh, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate

same as the one i have got
8.2 looks like a reddy brown colour
if your no certain rinse it out
under the tap and repeat test
checking your using the right amount
of drops
