Anyone Have Any Ideas Whats Going On With This Cichlid

noticed these spots? or lack of scales? on my one cichlid today any ideas?

I'm definitely not a pro but it looks to me like he got into a fight or got scraped up on a rock or sharp ornament. The only reason I say that is that if they weren't there yesterday then that seems logical. His pectoral fin looks a bit damaged also.

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Has the fish been fighting.
Does your heater have a guard on it.
Any redness to the patches.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing, darting, laboured breathing, excess mucas.
Any fluffy cotton wool on the patches.

Is the fish acting listless and lethagic.
Does the fish tilt to oneside when resting.
