Any Requirements Needed For These Fish

well all, im getting the folowing fish in a couple of hours

african brown knife fish
Rope fish
peacock eel
half beaks
bush fish

is there any requirements tey need ie food, ect

i have ablue acara, krib and 1 platy in my 240 litre atm, so i need to take them out, is it likely that the fish store will let me trade them in?? or should i ring first and see

240 litres is far too small for the brown knife they get to 12" +
ropefish ideally need 75 GAL

The tank is too small for Ropefish but its enoguh for Brown Knifefish, they usually dont get larger than 8" in tanks

They may give you a little store credit. Hard to call really as all stores have a different policy when taking in fish

I agree with Walkers the Knife and Ropefish need a bigger tank. If the Knifefish only get to 8" its because they have been stunted yo cant say because there normally stunted they can live in smaller tanks they still need a big enough tank for them to grow to there full size which is 12". I wouldnt put them in anything under 150G.

Which species of Halfbeaks and Bushfish? If its Leopard Bushfish, you need Halfbeaks that will grow bigger than 6cm as a minimum, otherwise they are a long term "live food" item. If its Ornate or Congo Bushfish, then there is much less of a worry.
