I have a 37 gallon tank currently occupied by a pair of bala sharks and an angelfish. They are not fully grown yet so its okay. There are also some tetras in it. I plan on upgrading the tank to a larger aquarium. I will have a spair 37 gallon tank and am wondering what I should put in it. Im willing to go to saltwater but im worried about if it would be harder to maintain than freshwater. Any cool ideas for the spair 37 gallon aquarium. my budget is $1500 dollars.

Your budget is certainly not a problem b0b. I have far less than that to spend on my present 25 tanks.
I have never ventured into salt water so I can't help you there. As I understand it, I'm probably wrong, the salty side merely needs more care in terms of monitoring chemistry than a freshwater tank would. It is also regularly acknowledged to be a bit more costly to maintain a salt water tank.
If I had a spare 37 gallon, I would not be in my present predicament. I have some Betta simplex coming from an on line auction site and am struggling with what tank to put them into.
What fish interest you? That is the first question I would ask myself if I had a huge, almost unlimited budget for a new setup. It would guide me in everything I did to prepare for more fish.

its up to you, but puffers are really fun! and you can choose form freshwater and brackish types. just a suggestion

Bala sharks get huge and prefer to be with other balas, I hope by upgrade you mean hundreds of gallons
