Any Idea What’s. wrong?

Noticed after dinner. Swollen under belly and lumpy. No loss of color, still eating and schoaling with others. Ideas? Paramus: 0,0, 10. PH 7.8, GH 8. Cleaned and 70% w/c yesterday.

I thought eggs too when I noticed it was a female. I had an ember tetra that was full of eggs and it seemd she was plugged up and could not lay them and died last year. That was before I started adding RO water to the tetra tank.

When you feed, do you notice that one eating a lot? I have one neon that is an absolute pig - she is already pretty big, but gets a huge tummy like that.

Seen nano fish have lumpy bellies when they get internal parasite before. Just a thought.

Neon Tetra Bumpy Tummy

Hi, Ive noticed that my 2 biggest Neon Tetras both have like a little bump on there tummies.I dont know if its just the food i just gave them or if it could be anything ells i need to look for. My other 3 smaller Neons looks fine.I presume that they eat less. Any ideas?? Thx! :D

I don’t think it’s NTD. She hasn’t loss color at all and still swimming with the schoal and eating. Getting ready to go feed and check on her. Will update in a bit. Oh, I just treated for parasites less than a month ago.

I just fed them some Metroplex. Perhaps that will help. I also added epsom salt to her tank to help reduce swelling and as a laxative.

What is RO water?

I'd actually come on today because I've lost 3 glowlights in the last fortnight (all females) at first I though it was swim bladder, but then I wondered if it could be a laying problem.

(Sorry Deanasue - don't mean to hijack your thread - I was just wondering what RO water was.)
