Another Stocking Question?

If the gouramis are too much then maybe just one honey gourami?

That should be fine on stocking,sparkling gouramis are very small and so cute,i have these in my main tank

brill! thanks hoping it will be planted too will have to see how my plants get on in my bigger tank with any look i can grow them in the bigger one (22g) and transfer some cuttings to this smaller one

Plants would be good,sparkling gouramis are quite shy and like hiding away,although mine have become quite aventurous now

i've never had gouramis before, i originally was just gonna put corys in here but decided it doesnt have big enough floor space so eventually will have some in my 22G tank where i'm sure they'll be happier.

Hmm now i think about it never had shrimp before either its all good fun though

Just make sure the shrimp have a smallish hiding place that the fish cant get in, even if it is a coconut shell and you block most of the front 'door' with rocks.

You might also want to consider some kind of grow out tank or spare tank, in case the cherries produce too many babies. I would say though, don't get four, get 8 - 10

I would personally do away with shrimps (yeck,they spook me ) and get 6 or more pygmy cories or habrosus corys,these are less shy than the pygmys,but the same size

Can the shrimp be picked up or do you net them like fish?

but they're such a lovely colour. TBH the thought of touching a fish doesnt exactly thrill me either 'Shudder'

why not get some Tetras?

i'd prefer to have my tetras in a larger tank so they've got room to roam together in a large group and swim around. I have them in my other tank too (neons and black neons)

I know what you mean about tetras,they love space although my wee ember tetras are so cute and such a vivid red,i was tempted to put them in my pygmy tank,but thought they might eat eggs...

So the wcmm have smaller space with more heat and they grow as big as a cardinal tetra?
I don't get it, they are not a good idea for a 54 l tank. You did ask if the stocking was ok?
